I received my Ph.D. in biostatistics from Harvard University in 2015, advised by Jun S. Liu and Tianxi Cai. Before joining Northwestern in 2023, I was on the faculty of Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to that I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University, working with Han Liu. I have a B.S. degree in applied mathematics from Sofia University.
Research Interests
I have diverse interests in statistics and machine learning. My current research focuses on problems of high dimensional nonparametric estimation, variable selection, inference, and graph property testing. In addition to my theoretical interests, I am also interested in statistical applications in medical settings such as electronic medical records (EMRs) and personalized medicine.
