Muntz Lassonde Teaching Assistants Program
The Muntz Lassonde Teaching Assistants program was established through the generous gift of a Northwestern alumna to help the department ensure high quality instruction for undergraduate students. The qualified, capable undergraduate students who participate in this program as Muntz Lassonde Teaching Assistants gain experience assisting professors with instruction and providing peer learning support to fellow students. These distinguished students offer invaluable support to the instructors and students they serve during each quarter.
To participate in the program, an undergraduate student must be a Statistics major or minor or a Data Science major or minor or be nominated by a Statistics and Data Science professor and have a GPA of 3.5 or above in their Statistics and/or Data Science courses. Typically, students participate in their junior and/or senior year.
More information on applying to participate in this program can be found on the department’s Canvas page for majors and minors.
