Assistant Professor of Instruction - starting September 1, 2025

I’m a mathematician and data scientist with a Ph.D. in Mathematics, and a minor in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. My research spans combinatorics, graph theory, and machine learning. I’m also a passionate educator, recognized for inclusive teaching and mentorship. I’m deeply interested in using data science to improve education and student mental health.

Instruction & Teaching
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the idea of learning by asking questions. To enable the students to ask the right questions I adopt a twofold approach: (1) I design my classes to spark curiosity and equip students with the tools necessary to engage in reasoning through interactive learning and (2) to create safe spaces in which everyone feels included, supported, and eager to participate.
Research Interests
My research spans combinatorics, graph theory, and data science. I study chromatic numbers of multi-distance graphs in the Euclidean plane, using probabilistic methods and computational tools like SAT solvers to establish new bounds. In industry, I apply machine learning to mental health data, building predictive models for early intervention.
